I started this Epic Mario cross-stitch project about a year ago. At the start of 2010 I did a little but didn't really jump into it till June that year. Just wanted to show my slow progress. I have other projects I'm working on so this is pretty much a side project. I got the pattern from SpriteStitch.
I have a few crochet projects I finished and really want to share but I have to hold back right now and wait for people to receive them. I will share a future project I am working on for my boyfriend. Considering his bathroom has ducks all over I thought he could use a tissue cozy. I found this pattern randomly online with the power of google search. It was rather confusing but I made a few modifications. Not sure if I like this one but I might work on the beak more.
My next project is for a friend that involves Rikku's scarf from Final Fantasy X-2. Some future ideas include crocheted bows for my guinea pigs and crocheted hearts. ;)
Oh and baked another pie! Think I'll keep this one considering how many people told me they love it. It's a chocolate chip pecan pie. It's pretty much a cookie pie.

Mini Road Trip Fun.
Last weekend my boyfriend and I took a mini road trip to Lancaster County. We headed to Ronks, PA first to check out the shoo-fly pie at Dutch Haven and the Amish woodwork. We then drove up and down the street seeing what else we could find. I noticed a number of antique stores so my boyfriend was more then willing to go and visit.
I found a few things while looking....
Polaroid Land Camera 95a. I'm not sure if it works yet but it did come with film that has never been used so I will be trying it out. I need to take a picture of my camera collection now. It's rather small but I still enjoy my collection.
Next is some awesome fabric I found. The Bambi fabric is supposed to be made into a child's apron. I have not yet figured out what I'll be doing with it.
I also collect out of print books that I find interesting/etc. I fell in love with the front cover of this book, Mother Goose Chimes. As I looked through the rest I knew I had to have it.

Happy Valentine's Day!
Just wanted to say Happy Valentine's Day!! I hope everyone has a wonderful day.
I made a chocolate chip mint pie for my boyfriend. Well me too of course. ;D This one is a keeper and I'm already forming ideas of how to make the next one. St. Patrick's Day is coming up and this would be great to have again.
I also created a scarf for my boyfriend as a present. It's based off of Gru's scarf from the movie Despicable Me . He loved it of course. It measures 7 1/2 feet! I'm glad he is so tall.

Go go crochet and knitting!
After telling myself for awhile now I will learn how to crochet and knit it finally happened. My sister attempted to teach me a few years ago but she would stop every 5 minutes and tell me her instructions were wrong. I would have to start all over again. After about the 3rd time I was frustrated. I do love my sister though and I have a blanket she crocheted for me a few years ago.
I was lucky enough to start a new job with a lady that has been doing both knitting and crocheting for over 30 years now. She rather knit then crochet but she is teaching me both. I recently got my first crochet project done which is a scarf. I did not follow a pattern as according to my teacher it's the best way to learn.
The scarf was sent to my mom and she loves it. :)
I have a few other projects I will be working on with a friend's birthday coming up and a craft swap. I don't want to give away what I'm making yet. Pictures after they receive it!
I also bought Twinkie-Chan's Crochet Goodies for Fashion Foodies! It has some beginner stuff but it really isn't good for a how-to on crocheting. Luckily if I get stuck I can ask the lady I work with and also there is always google. Still for someone that really has never read a pattern before it is easy for me to follow.

It's Been Awhile!
It's Been Awhile!!!
I know the usual excuse about life getting in the way. I'll spare you that and just jump right back into my blog again.
My Etsy shop for the time being will remain closed. I don't have the time for it anymore but this blog I will try to keep going. I got to the point where I started to not enjoy the crafting I was doing. Anything I created went into my shop. I also have a number of things I'm interested in that I wanted to focus on too. I bow down to a few ladies I know that run a full time shop online. Working a full week and trying to do a shop on the side was becoming too much for me.
I will still be updating this blog with anything crafty/handmade including my own work and other people's work.
Some recent cross-stitching I did:
All of these cross-stitch pieces were given as Birthday presents. All the patterns I used are from the Sprite Stitch's Website.
