Just wanted to show off some Halloween goodies that I have finished so far. I'm in a few swaps on Swap-Bot so I wanted to give myself a head start. I'm excited to put together my little Halloween packages and send them off. I have a few ideas and my imagination seems to come alive around Fall.
All of the crocheted items were made with free patterns;
Little Monsters can be found on CRAFTYisCool. Very basic and easy pattern to follow so I highly suggest this to anyone that wants to try out crocheting.
The ghostly garland can be found on Lion Brand Yarn's website. It's suppose to be a necklace but I thought a garland would be better for decoration.
The little bat ornament can be found on Lion Brand Yarn's website too.

What every girl needs: Bows!
Shame on me! I actually crocheted these little lovelies a few months ago and forgot to post them. I wanted to try my hand at making my own bows and this is the outcome. I also had extra yarn left over so I made a smaller size version.
I'm still not sure yet if I will keep both or they will be given away. My love of girly things, pastels, lace/frills, deer, and Marie Antoinette show pretty well in these bows.

Ireland, I'm Finally Going!
The other morning while watering in my garden I seem to have rained on this cricket's parade.
In other news...
I'm so excited to be going and can't wait. I skipped going in the summer because of avoiding everyone else. Fall is my favorite time of the year and I'll be spending Halloween there too. I'm so excited and even have to look over my trip once a week to make sure I am going.

Fall Needs To Get Here Already!
If you don't know it by now I'm a huge fan of Fall and Halloween. I can't wait to start seeing all the Halloween goodies in the stores. I love when it starts getting colder and I don't have to worry about being hot. I do like to wear hats in the fall/winter but never seem to find any that fit my head right. Maybe from the fact I have a oddly shaped head and thick curly hair?
While at The Mannings for the knit-in, I found some amazing yarn. I thought it would be perfect for a hat and it was! I'm in love with this hat and can't wait for Fall. I am actually planning on going back this weekend to get some more yarn to make a matching scarf or fingerless gloves. I'm not sure yet.Oh! I had enough yarn left over I made a headband for myself too.I have also started knitting again at the encouragement of some friends. We will see how far I get. Knitting is rather difficult for me right now to pick up. Crocheting was so much easier but I will keep trying!

Loving The Geeky/Nerdy Items.
Just wanted to post a few of the things I have seen in the past week over the internet. Not something I will do all the time but I wanted to share the love.
This just feels the comic book geek side of me full of love. Comic Kapow headband by the lovely Janine Basil providing Burlesque, comic and retro inspired hats and headbands.
DIY Cross-Stitch iPhone 4 Case. How awesome is that!? I love the fact if you get sick of the current cross-stitch on the case you can easily replace it. So whatever mode you are in you can show it off.
I've been playing a bunch of inFAMOUS2 lately so Lisa at Ambitious Love made me very happy when she listed for sale a Cole MacGrath keychain on Artfire.

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For Ice Cream!
Another food scarf? Me? Of course! Created for my sister. Pattern is from Twinkie Chan's book Crochet Goodies for Fashion Foodies.
One of the many things we have in common is our love for ice cream. We would rather have that for a meal any day. There have been a few nights of long conversations with the company of ice cream. So yes, ice cream is dear to our hearts. Even in the middle of winter we will not pass it up.Now it's time to move on to a few Halloween projects. Autumn is my favorite time of year and Halloween my favorite holiday. I always send off goodie bags to my follow Halloween lovers. So next month I will be starting a few projects I have lined up for Halloween.

Final Countdown!
I am all done with Sara's "Feel The Burn" pattern. There should be a update soon over on her blog, The Split Stitch.
I highly suggest everyone to watch Sara's blog as there will be a big giveaway starting tomorrow as well. Up for grabs is the 10 patterns that have been featured in the series. Anyone can join so watch for it! Not just because I'm a Stitching Angel but I've read a few of the ladies blogs in this group and it's worth watching.
What are the Stitching Angels? A group of ladies that volunteered there time and materials to stitch up a few of Sara's patterns that she will be listing in her Etsy shop soon.
So make sure to follow the giveaway on Sara's blog, The Split Stitch.

The Mannings
Last weekend I went with my local Stitch 'n Bitch group to The Mannings. A local hand weaving school and supply center. Last weekend they were having a knit-in which I was excited about. The building contained everything and even more!
They supply: specialized books and magazines for knitters, weavers, tatters, crocheters and spinners; knitting patterns, kits, needles and supplies; weaving looms and accessories, benches, heddles, reeds, shuttles and warping equipment; spinning wheels, tools and equipment; fiber, dye and dyestuffs; felting supplies; crochet patterns, equipment and supplies; and yarn, yarn, and yarn!
The building is completely over whelming and I walked a few times around the whole thing. I have never seen that much yarn in one place before. I have been in yarn shops but this looked like 3 or 4 yarn shops put together. I was in heaven and had fun looking at everything.
(Photo taken from The Mannings Website) My Stitch 'n Bitch group is all the way in the back! We started the day outside and enjoyed a lunch together. I brought along a brownie cheesecake pecan pie.I was one of few people crocheting but I didn't mind. It was still a lot of fun and with good company. Later on it did start to rain so we moved inside with everyone else. The building was big enough to hold us all and still have room to move around. At this point I started nodding off after almost being up 24 hours straight. I got off of work that morning and meet with a few friends from the group to carpool. Still it was a fun time and I enjoyed myself. Completely worth losing those hours of sleep. I'm hoping to go back again sometime soon.
Some of the yarn I got while on my little shopping trips around the building a few times. I'm excited over the Autumn colors I picked up. I'm going to make a scarf out of that or a hat. I haven't really decided yet.

Judging Results
I'm a bit behind but here are the judging results for my entries to the Shippensburg Community Fair! I was shocked that I actually won two ribbons! I'm still a bit shocked but I'll get over it? I loved the ribbons that were given to me as it does say the "Shippensburg Community Fair" on them.
On to the ribbons! First place went to my ice cream embriodery piece.
My Epic Mario cross-stitch piece got 2nd place.
Now that I have my entries home I'm not sure what I will be doing with them. My Epic Mario Cross-Stitch will be hanging soon but I'm not sure about the rest. I'm thinking maybe they will go as Christmas gifts this year or one can go towards a blog giveaway. Still not sure yet.
