Already April!?

I can't believe we are already in April! Life just seems to be going faster and faster. I wanted to make a quick post of the fabric I got while back home in March; cupcakes, doughnuts, junk food, pixie sticks, burgers, and sushi!

I also had the chance to give a friend of mine her birthday gift. Another cake cozy of course. I had fun with this one and making it "fluffy" as my boyfriend calls the shag sides.
Oh! and I have another craft swap with Lisa over at Ambitious Love Blog. I think after I'm done with her tissue cake cozy I will be done with them for awhile. Not that I don't enjoy making them but I need to move on to other things. I want to start making some scarfs with food themes from the patterns I have. This is all wishful thinking and future Christmas presents...we will see if I do it.

Crafty Update.

Just wanted to do a update before the month of March is over. I can't believe it's almost over! I'm excited to start planting my garden and go to a few craft fairs in my area. I live in a townhouse at the moment so my garden is kept in pots on my back porch.

I finally got my Rubber Ducky Tissue cozy done for my boyfriend. He has a love of rubber duckies so his bathroom is that theme. Men have no idea about tissues so it's more or less something for me. Don't tell him that...

This is a better photo of the crocheted bow I made for my parent's dog, Pepper. I'm going to attach a clip to it so it stays better on her collar. I'll be working on smaller ones for my guinea pigs next.

I ended up giving this to my boyfriend. I was practicing how to make crocheted hearts and thought he would like it. Cheesy but he still liked it.

I'm also excited to see that cherry blossoms are starting to bloom! I'm so excited to go to The Cherry Blossom festival in DC this weekend. I have been wanting to go since I moved to the east coast about 4 years ago. Somehow, I have "tricked" my boyfriend into taking me.

Life Update

I am back home again! It was nice catching up with my one brother that I have not seen for almost 5 years now. He is in the Air Force and his family is usually stationed over seas.

I also went to a few fabic and yarn shops. I'll more then likely have a picture of my findings later. I was excited over the things I got. I didn't get much done on the crafting side but that's alright.

While staying with my parents I made my Caramel Apple Pecan pie. It went over well with my parents and brother. I put a ton of pecans on the top because we are a nut family.

I also crocheted up a bow for my parent's dog, Pepper. This was pretty much the only thing I got done while back at home. I did take the bow home with me to attach a clip to the other side so it stays better on her collar. It also gave me ideas on how to make my guinea pigs little bows.

My parents dogs Pepper and Salty. They love to come and snuggle in whatever seat you just got up from. I raised both of them from puppies when I lived at home. I remember days of working with them on potty training and hand feeding them food.

I also went to the local comic shop. I knew it was a place for me when I saw the Batman sign. I also left with a few Batman graphic novels.

I took this picture a day before I left home. My guinea pigs had to stay at home with a baby sitter so I missed them while I was gone.
