Knitting and Cookies.

I forgot to post these pictures! At the end of January this year my boyfriend and I went into town for the Ice Fest that was going on. Walking down a side street I noticed something colorful hanging on a building. As I got closer I was excited to see someone had knitted street art for the festival. I'm not sure who did this but was happy to see it.

I just finished up my knitting project and my craft swap has been mailed so I will be posting pictures of both soon. Doing the craft swap made me realize how much I missed it so I will be looking for more ways to do craft swaps. If anyone would be interested let me know.

I also had another baking adventure! I made some BACON Chocolate Chip cookies. They are pretty good and I can't wait to get other people to try them.

Cross-stitch and Baking.

I started this Epic Mario cross-stitch project about a year ago. At the start of 2010 I did a little but didn't really jump into it till June that year. Just wanted to show my slow progress. I have other projects I'm working on so this is pretty much a side project. I got the pattern from SpriteStitch.

I have a few crochet projects I finished and really want to share but I have to hold back right now and wait for people to receive them. I will share a future project I am working on for my boyfriend. Considering his bathroom has ducks all over I thought he could use a tissue cozy. I found this pattern randomly online with the power of google search. It was rather confusing but I made a few modifications. Not sure if I like this one but I might work on the beak more.
My next project is for a friend that involves Rikku's scarf from Final Fantasy X-2. Some future ideas include crocheted bows for my guinea pigs and crocheted hearts. ;)

Oh and baked another pie! Think I'll keep this one considering how many people told me they love it. It's a chocolate chip pecan pie. It's pretty much a cookie pie.

Mini Road Trip Fun.

Last weekend my boyfriend and I took a mini road trip to Lancaster County. We headed to Ronks, PA first to check out the shoo-fly pie at Dutch Haven and the Amish woodwork. We then drove up and down the street seeing what else we could find. I noticed a number of antique stores so my boyfriend was more then willing to go and visit.

I found a few things while looking....
Polaroid Land Camera 95a. I'm not sure if it works yet but it did come with film that has never been used so I will be trying it out. I need to take a picture of my camera collection now. It's rather small but I still enjoy my collection.

Next is some awesome fabric I found. The Bambi fabric is supposed to be made into a child's apron. I have not yet figured out what I'll be doing with it.

I also collect out of print books that I find interesting/etc. I fell in love with the front cover of this book, Mother Goose Chimes. As I looked through the rest I knew I had to have it.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Just wanted to say Happy Valentine's Day!! I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

I made a chocolate chip mint pie for my boyfriend. Well me too of course. ;D This one is a keeper and I'm already forming ideas of how to make the next one. St. Patrick's Day is coming up and this would be great to have again.

I also created a scarf for my boyfriend as a present. It's based off of Gru's scarf from the movie Despicable Me . He loved it of course. It measures 7 1/2 feet! I'm glad he is so tall.
