PB&J Cross Stitch

Here is my PB&J cross stitch all finished! I added a lovely bow and some hearts. I'll post this soon as well on my Etsy shop. Working on a embroidery piece that has to do with caramel apples. I love the fall! That means popcorn balls and caramel apples come out to play.

Fabric Shopping

Trip 005
I think out of all the fabric shopping I did while on my trip, Jackman's Fabrics was my favorite stops. It was wall to wall of every kind of fabrics you can think of. Tons of ideas and things you could need. In the back they had tons of work tables and sewing machines for there classes. I would love to attend one!

Here are more pictures inside the store:

I got tons of fabrics from a few stores and nothing was pricey. A lot of it was on sale which made me happy. I can find nothing really around me in PA unless I hit the thrift stores. This was a nice change and I was so spoiled by it.

Big Post Coming Up!

I have so much stuff I want to post about so this one will be huge. My sister attempted to teach me how to croshay. Which I ended up failing at. I guess what didn't help was after she showed me how to do something she backed up stating she was wrong and do it this way. That happened every 5mins so I just gave up. I love my sister of course. <3

The picture above is her work. She is making blankies for my parents dogs to fluff up and sleep in.

Here is the cross-stitch my sister was working on as well. We tease one another because she likes to work from a pattern with all the colors/etc. laid out. I usually draw my designs on the material and go from there.

My sister and me are huge LUSH fans as well. Since there isn't one around where I live I was happy to go along for the shopping. My sister and I got way too much stuff but we will use it all of course. ;D I also got a few goodies for free and some samples/etc. I would so love to work at a LUSH store. I wonder if they accept weekend workers. They also have face masks that you can only buy in the stores. They only last for a month and you have to keep them in a frig. Another lovely plus is my bathroom smells like Lush thanks to all my buys. <3

Also, did a little shopping at My Paper Crane's online store. I got some of her fabric and a pin. The little house was a extra gift sent by her.

Trip Photos

Just wanted to share some photos from my trip back home! It was awesome and I had a great time catching up with old friends and my family.

First off if you have ever visited The Cheesecake Factory you more then likely know about the great food and great cheesecake. I can't find one around me which makes me sad but I was happy to bring this home for the family while I was there. Oreo Cheesecake. <3

My sister and me took a trip to the Dog Museum and Holocaust Museum. Both located in St. Louis, MO. Both were very good and interesting. I know it's a strange combination to do in a day but still we had a good time.

The Dog Museum was $5.00 a piece and the Holocaust Museum was free. They did step up there security at the Holocaust Museum a little so you can't just walk in/etc. They also have Holocaust survivors that help in the Museum and can answer questions you might have.

Vintage Halloween

Yes, I'm sure you have figured out how much I love Halloween. I am really not into the scare yourself silly part though. I don't go visiting haunted houses/etc. The last time I got dragged to one I ended up hitting the person that was trying to scare me. I just can't get into paying for someone to scare me. No, I didn't hurt the man. I hit him in the shoulder and he was rather shocked.

I LOVE vintage Halloween items. Here are some awesome vintage Halloween items I found on Etsy.

Working On

Here is a sneak peek at my cat pillow family I am working on. I will be adding little touches to them of course. I want to add collars to the kittens and something with the mom as well. The fabric I actually found at one of the thrift stores in my town. Believe it or not MyPaperCrane loves to visit these same thrift stores. I have yet to run into her of course.

For some odd reason the family reminds me of the Disney movie The Aristocats.

My Dad was here helping me create them. We got into the conversation about my siblings and me having these types of toys as kids. I never knew this but my dad created them all for us on the sewing machine. To me as a kid they just appeared one day. Ha!

I didn't get as much done as I wanted on my trip back to IL. It was mostly go go every day and when I was at home I was working on my cross-stitch. I did enjoy my time of meeting up with old friends and visiting my parents. My sister was happy to join me working on her own projects. I have yet to find the time to get the pictures off my camera! Things should be back to normal on Tuesday. I go back to work/etc.

Here is what I got done so far on my PB&J cross stitch.

OH! I also purchased a new Honda CR-V while out in IL and my Dad was nice enough to help me get it back to PA.
